Job Details

Do you want to be responsible for supporting administration and business processes?  Do you have experience of creating, maintaining, sorting, filing and archiving records and documents?

We are looking for a self-motivated and versatile individual with a can-do attitude to work closely with the Intellectual Property and Contracts Administrator and other Commercialisation team members. You will have experience (or will need to build up a knowledge of) patents and contract management, in order to take day-to-day responsibility for the effective administration and management of commercialisation records and systems, respond to queries, resolve issues, and support commercialisation activities.

The Research and Innovation Service (RIS) provides central support to research and innovation across the University.  The Commercialisation team supports the University’s commercialisation and Intellectual Property (IP) enterprises.  The creation of innovation and impact have been identified as key objectives in an ambitious strategy, and the University is supporting its commercialisation activities accordingly.  The University manages sizeable Proof of Market and Proof of Concept funds, used to accelerate the impact of its leading research. In addition to a significant portfolio of technology licences, the University has around 28 active spinout companies, with six spinouts listed on the investment markets.
