Salary:  £32,156 to £56,875 per annum

We are seeking to appoint a Clinical Lecturer in Rheumatology.  This post will provide clinical training within an academic framework and create the opportunity to develop research proposals within a structured clinical training environment.  You must hold, or be eligible for, a National Training Number and possess a track record in, and commitment to, research and teaching. 

Your qualifications should include MRCP, PhD/MD or equivalent and you will be expected to have an established track record in clinical/basic science.  You will be committed to an academic career and your research will fit within the Human Development and Health Academic Unit.  You will also assist in the delivery of the rheumatology components of the undergraduate curriculum.  Approximately 50% of the weekly timetable will be devoted to academic activity. 

You will be expected to apply for support for a research program from one of the appropriate funding bodies and ultimately be successful in obtaining a Clinician Scientist post within the Faculty.

A Specialist Registrar contract will be provided by Wessex Deanery.  Clinical duties will be appropriate for the stage of clinical training.  On call arrangements will be similar to other Specialist Registrars in the service.
