PerkinElmer is embarking on a global HR transformation, including technology revamp of its current HR systems. We are looking for a Senior Manager in IT to provide technical leadership to this global HR systems implementation. This individual will work closely with HR functional team throughout this transformation. The Senior Manager will lead the various phases from strategy, roadmap, tool selection, design, implementation and support of the HR solution by driving day to day project activities, identifying and closely monitoring risks and issues, managing business stakeholder expectations and clearly communicating project status to key stakeholders. The Senior Manager will also help build and enforce adherence to internal standards, processes, policies and documentation related to HR systems at PerkinElmer. This individual will also manage the external vendor relationships with technology vendors and system integrators. This role will report to the Global IT G&A Director.

The Senior Manager should have extensive experience in end-to-end HCM implementation with leading technology platforms like Workday and SuccessFactors. This role requires an individual who leads by example, is confident, perseverant, inspirational, disciplined and dependable. In addition, this individual needs to be highly collaborative, a strong communicator and always on the lookout for continuous improvement opportunities. The candidate must have the ability to deliver tactical projects while managing issues and thinking strategically. This leadership role is responsible for the growth and engagement of our people including hiring, developing, coaching and performance management. Candidate should have knowledge of leading trends and best practices in HCM and is expected to have expert level understanding of various tools and technologies.


Responsibilities
  • Work with IT & HR leadership to define long term HCM strategy, roadmap and evaluating vendor products. Facilitate and collaborate with other functional leaders on the formation of PKI-wide system solutions that enable the use of HCM information in support of business needs.Lead the design of HCM project life cycle from initial goals to final implementation.
  • Ensure alignment with global HR teams in requirements, design, build, deployment and support of a global HCM system implementation. Collaborate with various product owners from HR working with various Agile teams. Provide strategic leadership throughout HCM Project implementation.
  • Provide oversight on all HCM interfaces and feeds to other internal and external systems.
  • Leads and facilitates business and technical requirements gathering ensuring a healthy product backlog. Assists team with defining target solution design and architecture.
  • Ensure the HCM team is following operationally sound practices regarding ongoing system management, including methodology for applying upgrades, tracking and management of open tickets, and other regular system maintenance activities.
  • Partner with the leadership team to ensure successful adoption of the new HR system globally.
  • Manage governance and delivery throughout the HR system transformation, with the focus on ease of use.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on HCM projects and implementation for all company functions and locations.
  • Collaborate with the HCM team and across functions to ensure HCM information is managed securely and in compliance with global data privacy requirements.Define, configure and optimize the delivery of HR analytics.
  • Provide technology and functional expertise around HR system components and apply that knowledge to the Solution Architectures and technology roadmaps.
  • Provide regular status updates on all HCM projects to senior leadership and manage business partner stakeholder expectations.
  • Champion continuous improvement
  • Proactively foresee, plan and lead enhancements, implementations, operations & support. Build a knowledge base for the enterprise-wide HR data flow and processes around them.
  • Manage and build in-house technical skills around various HCM tools and technologies.
  • Define & implement measurable KPIs to gauge ROI and success of HCM initiatives.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Build and manage the IT HR team, hiring the right talent with skills to achieve business objectives, setting clear goals and expectations, and providing ongoing coaching and development to expand skills and capabilities.
  • Guide the team towards Agile business delivery built on sound core principles, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Lead a high performing team with mix of internal and external resources.
