Job Details

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior radiographer to take up a full-time post as part of our small group of six MR radiographers. The Academic unit of Radiology operates 4 scanners (two GE 1.5T, a whole body Philips 3T scanner and a GE 3T neonatal research scanner) based across three sites at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Northern General Hospital and Jessops Women’s Hospital. We carry out internationally recognised research in the fields of pulmonary vascular imaging, lung imaging with the use of hyperpolarised agents as well as neuro research imaging (including functional MR) and in-utero fetal imaging. The unit also performs clinical MRI imaging. It is expected that you will have significant post-qualification experience with specific work experience in MRI scanning and research. Role development within our research groups and contribution to research output is actively encouraged. It is important that you have the ability to produce high-quality MR images and are able to make a meaningful contribution to the work of the team. You should also have a comprehensive and up to date knowledge of MR systems, procedures, safety issues, policies, legislation and quality standards. It is essential that applicants are HPC-registered. The role is spread over four working days.
