Responsibilities:

• Manage the project budget
• Monitor contractual compliance
• Liaise with role players
• Monitor work progress
• Provide technical guidance
• Project administration
• Evaluate completed work

Minimum Requirements

• A relevant post-school technical qualification in construction (NQF7)

• A project-management qualification or project management as part of qualification

• Five years’ technical experience relating to large construction sites

• Three years’ project-management experience relating to large construction projects

• The ability to prepare planning schedules with measurable intermediate goals

• Good verbal communication and report-writing skills

• Computer literacy: MS Excel and specialised programs applicable to the function

• Advanced knowledge of infrastructure processes

• Advanced knowledge of JBCC contracts

• The ability to work enthusiastically in a team

• Positive social and interpersonal skills

• The ability to operate with minimum supervision

• The ability to be proactive and an innovative problem-solver
