Registered Nurse, Renal Transplant, Kidney & Bladder Service Line

The Aga Khan University Hospital invite applications for the position of Registered Nurse, Renal Transplant, Kidney & Bladder Service Line.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:

• ensure the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence based inpidualized patient care providing safe, competent, inpidualized holistic care to critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring to Kidney recipient
• participate actively in imparting patients/ family education and support
• demonstrate efficiency in use of electronic monitoring equipment and medical technology
• document and maintain transplant patient information in the medical record to ensure documents compliance
• ensure compliances in patient care as per Institutional set standards
• safe administration of medication as per Institutional set standards
• monitor patients’ progress, work towards safe and timely discharge planning
• coordinate with multidisciplinary team in order to provide comprehensive care to transplant patient.

Requirements

You must have:

• Diploma in Nursing from an accredited school; Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BScN) would be preferred
• valid license from Pakistan Nursing Council
• at least one year of work experience with medical surgical patients
• certification in basic life support, safe medication administration, I/V cannulation, conscious sedation (as applicable), ECG interpretation and aseptic techniques  
• ACLS certified and experience of SCU and any critical care area will be preferred
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• ability to think analytically.
