We are seeking an AV Design & Projects Tech Lead to help meet growth for our Learning Environment Support Unit (LESU). LESU is a leading provider of sophisticated teaching technology solutions, project management, audio visual support, lecture recording and other facilities-related activities of the University of Auckland.

In this role, you will take sole responsibility for scoping, planning and executing high tech audio visual projects, including networking and control systems in lecture theatres.

What do we need from you?

  • We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated team player and multi-tasker who can manage time effectively.
  • Self-motivation and the desire to embrace new technology is a must.
  • Previous experience in Teaching Technology project management and innovation that supports changing pedagogies and needs of staff and students to maximise learning outcomes is essential.
  • You’ll be confident with a range of audio visual equipment, including sound and lighting equipment, data projectors, computers, distribution equipment, control systems etc.
  • You will have excellent communication skills, and will be proficient in supporting the training of staff and students in the delivery of multi-media functionality.
