Estate Services is part of the University’s Facilities Directorate, and it is committed to providing first class facilities and fit-for-purpose high quality buildings across the University’s physical environment.

The University is for a Mechanical Services Manager to manage the design and delivery of a full spectrum of mechanical services across the campus. Reporting to the Head of Engineering you will be responsible for a range of professionals delivering the mechanical services portfolio across campus. On a daily basis you will act as the University’s lead on mechanical schemes ensuring that they are delivered within budget and on time. You will be required to work with other services across Estate Services as well as overseeing the work of contractors and consultants to ensure plans are in complying with agreed standards and policies. You will also act as a technical ambassador for your discipline and contribute to developing standards for mechanical services across the University.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects across a technically complex estate portfolio.  You will have strong technical skills, with excellent knowledge and understanding of mechanical building services and infrastructure including design standards, new technologies and innovation.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential as you will be required to work collaboratively across a broad range of stakeholder groups. It is anticipated that prospective candidates will possess a professional qualifications in an engineering related discipline.
