The Test Engineer within Service Validation & Test will be responsible for testing tools, manual and automation test cases. Conduct requirements analysis, prepare test plans and write test cases; perform end-to-end, feature functional, and integration testing; participate in SCRUM/Agile software development process; identify and track bugs for closure; perform build verification tests; and manage test topologies, application, external web, and production environment upgrades and maintenance. May be assigned to work on other projects that utilize the same skills.

The nature of the position requires excellent oral and written communication skills and proven leadership in complex team situations. The incumbent will ensure that all SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) concepts are applied in accordance with company policy.

Primary job responsibilities include:

- As a member of the testing group that is an embedded member of development team to build complex and innovative solutions (mobility, big data, and analytics) with a focus on test.

- Responsibility for bringing and leading test competency in development teams who are working in agile or waterfall environment.

- Assist in writing and executing manual and automated test plans and related test cases.

- Verifying features and enhancements using white and black box methodologies; with emphasis on debugging and identifying the root cause of issues.

- Log defects/issues and work with team members to ensure resolution

- Commitment to an individual contribution to quality of developed software will enable you to improve project deliveries

Qualifications

Education:

- Minimum of a BSc Degree is required. (Degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, Math preferred).

Required:

- Minimum 2 years applied work experience and knowledge in software testing/development principles and methodologies (Agile and Waterfall)

- Possess high personal integrity, credibility, and energy.

- Customer-centric attitude and an eye for detail.

- Knowledgeable about software/systems development principles and methodologies (such as Waterfall, Agile).

- Proven ability to conduct manual and automated testing.

- Hands-on experience of using testing methodologies and tools ( such as. HP Quality Center, ALM , Unified Functional Testing, Selenium, Python, Jira or Bugzilla).

- Good written and communication skills

- Demonstrated ability to think strategically.

Preferred:

- Strong understanding of regulations, policies and practices regarding the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.

- ISTQB Foundation Level certificate or equivalent knowledge.

- Experience working as a part of agile development team. Experience working in a Scrum/Agile environment.

- Experience with test automation of mobile applications.
