We are looking for someone to join our Faculty’s Information Services team, providing IT support and assistance for an end-user community that includes medical researchers, lecturers, staff and students.

Who’re we looking for?

  • We need a customer-oriented person who will work thoughtfully with our IT partners and end-users to resolve issues. These include dealing with competing demands, sensitive situations, and conflicts with other groups.
  • You’ll have a talent for understanding end-user requirements, showing sensitivity to clients’ needs while providing technical advice and designing solutions for our faculty.
  • You’ll have the ability to take initiative and collaborate well in a team environment, while also being willing to work cooperatively with the university’s wider IT community and its many partners.
  • A commitment to understanding new technology in a university environment is important, as is confidence with setting up and using modern desktop software and peripherals, ideally including Apple computers and devices.
  • Experience with networking, virtual servers, enterprise software tools, database design, coding, web design or video-conferencing would be an advantage.
