We have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Laboratory Technician within the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology, School of Medical Sciences.

The role

  • This position is responsible for the overall planning and organisation of the student laboratories within the Pharmacology teaching laboratory area.
  • You’ll set up undergraduate teaching laboratories within the Pharmacology programme and acquisition of consumables, animal tissue and equipment required for those laboratories.
  • Proactively monitoring and maintaining Health and Safety standards within the teaching laboratory area is also a requirement.

What do we need from you?

  • You will preferably hold a BSc, MSc or equivalent in Pharmacology or Biomedical Sciences.
  • You will be experienced in pharmacological sciences and laboratory techniques.
  • Experience working in a tertiary teaching laboratory would be an advantage.
  • This position will suit someone who is well organised, able to multitask and is self-motivated.
