Are you looking to apply your skills in catalysis to the development of new approaches for CO2 utilisation?
As a Research Assistant in Catalysis you will join a 4-month British Council funded collaborative project (awarded to Dr Bao Nguyen) with Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (Mexico). The project will focus on improving a catalytic process from CO2 to cyclic carbonates. You will contribute to an investigation to deliver factors influencing catalytic activity, leading to rationally improved catalyst/process for CO2 utilisation.
With a first degree or Masters in Organic Chemistry or a closely allied discipline you will have experience in the use of modern spectroscopic methods and good interpersonal and communication skills.
