The University of Southampton seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Philosophy on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will show outstanding potential as a philosopher, will be flexible in contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and will be keen to participate fully in the intellectual and academic activities of a lively and committed department which prizes collegiality very highly. The AOS and AOC for the post are open; but the ability to teach the history of philosophy, especially Kant, may be an advantage.
The successful candidate will have a PhD or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in a relevant subject area by the date of appointment, as well as proven teaching skills.
