The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of immunologic, biochemical and molecular characteristics of Foxp3+ T-regulatory (Treg) cells. Responsibilities include contributing to ongoing studies, as well as developing independent, disease-based research. Areas of particular interest include the roles of Tregs in the contexts of autoimmunity and transplantation, as well as in cancer immunotherapy. The applicant must have a proven track record of outstanding laboratory research involving Treg cells. The investigator will be expected to establish a track record in obtaining significant research funding. Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research.
