Job Details
You will support the research of Professor Hai-Sui Yu, who besides his academic role in the School of Civil Engineering, holds the post of Pro-Vice Chancellor: International. Your work will have a strong focus on advanced constitutive and numerical modelling of soils and granular materials using cutting-edge plasticity theory and micromechanics for applications to solving a range of geotechnical engineering problems including tunnels, offshore foundations, landslides, and pavement and railway foundations.
You will have a strong background in the general field of theoretical and computational geomechanics, with cutting-edge experience in plasticity theory and computational mechanics, and an enthusiastic, creative approach to your research.
