University of Pretoria has implemented a portfolio of Oracle software which includes:

  • Oracle PeopleSoft suite (including Human Capital Management, Financials, Campus Solutions and Customer Relationship Management);
  • Oracle Fusion Middleware (including Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle WebCenter, Oracle Identity and Access Management, Oracle Enterprise Content Management and Business Intelligence suites).

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will design, develop, integrate and maintain solutions within the Oracle WebCenter, Oracle Enterprise Content Management, Oracle Document Capture and Oracle Records Management environments. The position leverages content management capabilities in order to meet complex business problems for managing unstructured content (content management, collaboration and web content management).

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • A relevant Bachelors degree (e.g. B.IT, B.Sc, B.Comm Informatics, B. Eng), or a B.Tech in Information Technology;
  • Three years’ relevant experience in:
    • Designing and developing Java / J2EE applications;
    • Working with JavaScript, JSP, HTML and CSS.

 

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND BEHAVIOURAL ATTRIBUTES):

  • Good interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem solving skills.

 

ADDED ADVANTAGES AND PREFERENCES:

    Courses in the following:
    • Java J2EE certification;
    • Oracle WebCenter Content and Oracle WebCenter Portal;
  • Relevant experience in working with the following Oracle WebCenter suite modules suite modules will be highly advantageous:
    • Oracle WebCentre Content;
    • WebCenter Portal and WebCenter Spaces;
    • Oracle Imaging (Image & Process Management, Oracle Document Capture);
    • Experience working in a tertiary education environment.

The annual remuneration package will be commensurate with the incumbent’s level of appointment, as determined by UP policy guidelines. UP subscribes to the BESTMED medical aid scheme and contributes 50% of the applicable monthly premium.
