The Macmillan Survivorship Research Group (MSRG- http://www.southampton.ac.uk/msrg), Faculty of Health Sciences, is seeking an outstanding individual to join the team. The successful candidate will coordinate a portfolio of feasibility studies, complex interventions and cohort studies within the Macmillan Survivorship Research Group and associated projects. In particular we are interested in applications from people with experience of working on multi-site research projects in clinical settings, and with strong project management and interpersonal skills.
Working with Professor Claire Foster, Director of MSRG, you will be responsible for trial coordination activities related to cohort and trial studies, site set-up and maintenance of multi-centre studies: including: working with Health Research Authority, NHS Research Ethics Committees, Integrated Research Application System and submitting amendments, data collection and collation; producing study reports and establishing good relationship with relevant stakeholders.
You will have the following skills and experiences to enable you to perform this role:
- Excellent project management, planning and organising skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team
- Experience of coordinating multicentre studies: study and site set-up and maintenance, meeting study and Health Research Authority targets and timelines, working to Good Clinical Practice and research governance requirements to ensure the successful delivery of research projects
- Ability to plan and coordinate a complex workload and meet the challenges of competing priorities
You will have a skill level equivalent to a degree or relevant professional qualification.
This role is offered full time on a fixed term contract basis for 3 years.
