Job Details

Location: Bristol

The University of Bristol is seeking an experienced HE administrator to support its Welcome Week Review Project.  The Project will review the University’s current Welcome Week offering, taking a holistic view of the non-academic elements of student transition; and develop a new student offering for Welcome Week.  This post thus offers significant scope to influence and form a critical and important part of the student journey.  Experience of designing and improving processes with the student experience at their heart will therefore be essential.

You will report to the Deputy Academic Registrar (Systems and Operations) but will be expected to work with a high degree of self-direction and independence.  You will take the lead role in delivering the review of Welcome Week and implementation of agreed proposals.  Therefore you must demonstrate a significant understanding of the purpose, structure and activity that forms student registration and induction but you will have the opportunity to be creative and bring your own approach to delivering the overall aims of the project.   You will need excellent communication and analytical skills to gather and present information; the ability to draft document process, policies and guidance; and keep a wide variety of stakeholders engaged and informed about the project.

The University has a strategic aim to develop a comprehensive Student Advice Service to deliver high quality professional student support.  The Welcome Week review will intersect with the aims and development of the Student Advice Service and the post-holder will be expected to work flexibly across the projects as required.

For informal enquiries about the post please contact the Deputy Academic Registrar (Systems and Operations) on 0117 928 8285 or email jen.morgan@bristol.ac.uk.

The closing date for applications is 11:59pm on Sunday 2nd April 2017
