The Graduate School of Education (GSoE) is seeking to appoint an outstanding individual to a new Lectureship in Psychology in Education. We are looking for an individual with research expertise in the areas of biological/neuroscience, developmental or cognitive psychology and/or mental health in schools and pupil wellbeing

The successful individual will join our collegiate and creative teaching teams and thriving research culture and contribute to the MSc Education, MSc Psychology of Education (BPS accredited) and new BSc Psychology in Education (BPS accredited) programmes.

An ability to apply research in the area of special educational needs to educational settings and contribute to teaching in the area of mental health in schools, inclusion and pupil wellbeing is particularly desirable. Applicants should also be able to take on BSc, MSc and doctoral project supervision, and be active in seeking wider social impacts from their research. We welcome applicants who have interests that complement our existing research strengths. Candidates who can clearly articulate how their research and teaching interrelate are of particular interest to us, as are those who bring quantitative expertise.

Excellent teaching, creativity in the classroom, and your engagement with the latest research are valued at Bristol, where we prize these attributes. You can expect to be supported and challenged to develop your research and teaching in our supportive and stimulating environment.
