The Auckland Law School’s Student Centre is currently seeking a Reception, Facilities and Administration Assistant with outstanding interpersonal skills to provide a professional and customer-focused reception service for the Faculty of Law Student Centre. 

The role

As our faculty’s first point of contact, you will play a key role in managing first impressions and providing information and support for all those visiting or communicating with the Auckland Law School:

  • You will direct and refer enquiries from staff, students and the public at our busy front desk, as well as providing leadership to the reception helpers, to provide a customer-focused reception service.
  • You’ll provide general administration support to the faculty, including such elements as coordinating room bookings.
  • You’ll manage incoming and outgoing mail and courier items.
  • You’ll also process, track and manage student assignments.

What do we need from you?

We anticipate you’ll be a warm, vibrant, enthusiastic and hard-working professional!

  • Previous experience in a reception or administrative role would be ideal.
  • Excellent customer service skills, and the ability to develop positive working relationships with professional and academic staff both within and outside the University, are essential.
  • Your communication and inter-personal skills will likewise be strong, as will your organisational abilities. 
  • You’ll also have good computer skills, and will be highly adaptable to changing situations.
