Job Details
We are looking for a professional and proactive individual to join our team and support research, teaching and general activities within the metrology facility based in the Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering. Providing specialised advice to a diverse range of students and academic and research staff from across the University about metrology technique and analysis, you will act as a point of expertise.
You will have mechanical engineering-related laboratory experience, gained in either academia or industry, with the proven ability to take responsibility for laboratory management. You will be a highly organised individual used to working within an ISO9001 accredited environment, capable of developing expertise for a wide range of metrology instruments.
If you are appointed at grade 5, this will be regarded as a training grade, and you will have a personalised development plan to help you gain the added skills and experience which will enable you to apply for promotion to grade 6 in due course.
