The OneSource Lab Computing IT Service Engineer provides scientific and laboratory services, of manufacturing equipment, chrome skids, and validation/compliance services. This role works seamlessly with and supports the other PerkinElmer practices and divisions within the lab computing environment

Job Description:
Job Purpose:
The OneSource Lab Computing IT Service Engineer provides scientific and laboratory services, of manufacturing equipment, chrome skids, and validation/compliance services. This role works seamlessly with and supports the other PerkinElmer practices and divisions within the lab computing environment
Responsibilities:
- Support reliability engineering for production and support equipment
- Provide on the floor operational support as needed
- Support all investigations and audits as needed
- Provide off-shift and on call support when necessary
- Responsible for Periodic review of the Automation Systems
- Responsible for assuring various user levels have appropriate, documented training and authorization for access to engineering managed computer systems
- Responsible for implementation of compliance initiatives including monitoring of system security procedures and practices, review of audit trails and system logins for compliance
- Design and implementation support for minor functional and process changes, either smaller projects, remediation activities or capital projects
- Support future capital projects and assure site automation standards are followed
- Assist other departments in evaluating historical process/equipment data
- Author and/or review design documents for projects and process changes
- Support commissioning/qualification activities as required
- Responsible for backup/archiving/restoring of Automation configuration and batch
- Support and troubleshoot Chrome Skid break fix
- Method Management

- Candidate must have a BS in engineering. Chemical, Electrical preferred.
- 2+ years of relevant technical experience including (but not limited to); Windows technologies, networking, remote computing and backup systems.
- Experience with virtual machine support
- Experience into Desktop Support.
- Experience with scientific instrumentation
- 2+ years of relevant technical experience including :
- Display excellent interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills (written and oral)
- Ideal candidate must have process automation experience with integrated manufacturing systems and ancillary equipment
- Requires good written, oral communication and presentation skills
- Requires good planning, organizing, time management and team participation skills.
- Experience with Unicorn – GE AKTAs a plus
Special skills and Required Experience:
- Excellent customer service skills complimented by an ability to listen to and interpret client requests.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex instrument and technology issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify, track and complete tasks for multiple projects under prescribed timeframes.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety practices as defined by the Company and/or customer’s site safety code.
