Manager, Publicity (Part-time)

Established in 1980, Aga Khan University School of Nursing and Midwifery (AKU-SONAM) was the first academic unit of the University to be established. AKUSONAM is motivating and preparing young men and women from all over Pakistan and the developing countries to choose nursing as a career in order to strengthen the delivery of health care services.
 

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• focusing on raising the image of nursing in the media
• actively promoting nursing programmes, nationally and internationally
• developing and implementing a plan of recruitment and publicity with schools across Pakistan
• collaborating with existing Public Affairs and  Marketing Communications departments at AKU
• working innovatively with the existing studio team
• actively working with other nursing schools on the given task
• working closely with Nursing Services and other internal stakeholders to understand internal customer needs and ensure that all Organizational policies and practices are properly followed
• keeping abreast of international trends in nursing publicity and image building.

Requirements

You should have:

• an MBA or equivalent degree from HEC recognized or foreign university
• a proven track record as a seasoned publicity professional with at least five to eight years’ of progressive and related experience
• excellent English and Urdu verbal and written communication skills
• ability to present at different platforms
• demonstrated success in driving for results as well as recognized accomplishments in a leadership role
• comprehensive knowledge of the healthcare profession
• proficiency in use of computer packages
• ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to work under pressure with patience and poise
• willingness to travel within and outside the country
• demonstrated excellent business acumen, analytical skills and strong work ethics.
