    An opportunity now exists to join our high calibre team in the School of Animal and Veterinary Science in the Faculty of Sciences.

    This position is based in Roseworthy, a small town just 50 minutes drive from the CBD of Adelaide, South Australia's capital. Roseworthy has a population of around 1,200 and  is located at the gateway to the Barossa, one of the world's great wine regions renowned for its food and wine, cultural experiences and easy-going lifestyle.

    The School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences is South Australia's only veterinary school and an internationally renowned centre for excellence in dryland agriculture and animal production.

    The School constitutes a team of world-class animal and veterinary science academics and clinicians. The facilities are state-of-the-art and include a veterinary hospital and centres for companion animals, production animals, and equine health. The campus is situated on a 1600 hectare property with a working farm, less than eight kilometres from the township of Gawler.

    An opportunity now exists in the School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences for multiple positions across Ruminant Health. The successful applicants will be motivated with a positive approach, and have demonstrated excellence in customer service and proven outstanding communication pathways with clients and other staff. To be appointed, your Qualification in Veterinary Science must be acceptable for registration in South Australia.

    Associate Professor (Level D)

    The University is seeking a Veterinarian, who is eligible to practise in South Australia, to direct Ruminant Studies curriculum development. You will be expected to have a higher degree at doctoral level in veterinary ruminant health, significant tertiary teaching experience and demonstrated skills in curriculum development. You will have an excellent publication record in international peer reviewed journals and would be responsible for establishment of a research group within the field. A specialist veterinary qualification in ruminant health would be highly desirable. Active collaborations with groups within SARDI and PIRSA will be encouraged.

    Senior Lecturer (Level C)

    The University is seeking a Veterinarian, who is eligible to practise in South Australia to teach sheep or cattle medicine and develop a research programme within this subject area. The successful candidate will contribute to the teaching of sheep or cattle medicine through the delivery, supervision and coordination of lectures, practical classes, clinical service, including farm visits and clinical rotations. Some participation in sheep or cattle related clinical services is anticipated to support and maintain an appropriate clientele profile.  Additional participation in the teaching and course coordination of production animal studies courses throughout the veterinary science program may be required. The supervision of post-graduate students will be expected.

    Salary: Negotiable based on skills and experience

    Superannuation: An employer superannuation contribution of 17% may apply.
