School of Agriculture and Food Sciences

The School of Agriculture and Food Sciences is one of the largest agricultural schools in Australia, comprising research and teaching experts in agribusiness, animals and wildlife, environment, plants and soil, and food and nutrition. The role

The School of Agriculture and Food Sciences seeks to appoint an academic staff member who will provide both undergraduate and postgraduate students with grounding in the issues that face agribusiness and the analytical and practical skills required to manage and advise agribusiness in a changing agricultural and economic environment.

The successful applicant will be responsible for undertaking undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, course coordination and program development, research including supervision of research higher degree students; and professional activities in agribusiness.

The person

The successful applicant will contribute to (and for a Level C appointment provide leadership in) teaching and research activities in the field of Agribusiness in the School and University. The appointee will work with the Head of School, the group leader in Agribusiness, and other staff members in the School to develop and implement the School's strategic plan and to integrate the teaching and research programs in Agribusiness. Located at UQ Gatton campus, the appointee will be responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate course coordination, teaching and program development and will be expected to contribute substantially to the national and international research profile of the School, supervise research students, obtain external grant funding, and undertake professional activities.

Remuneration

This is a full-time continuing appointment at Academic Level B or C located at Gatton Campus.  

The remuneration for Academic Level B will be in the range $92,142.74 - $109,419.20 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be $107,807.01 - $128,020.46 p.a.). 

The remuneration for Academic Level C will be in the range $112,874.46 - $130,150.91 p.a. plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be $ 132,063.12 - $152,276.56 p.a.)
