The School of Clinical Sciences has a vacancy for a Research Associate working in the laboratory of Professor Paolo Madeddu.

Based at the Bristol Royal Infirmary, you help the PI to develop a translational project by performing cell biology studies in order to elucidate the interaction between endothelial cells, pericytes and haematopoietic cells in diabetic bone marrow. The project entitled “Unravelling mechanisms of stem cell depletion for the preservation of regenerative fitness in patients with diabetes” is a British Heart Foundation Programme Grant.

The successful applicant will work closely with the team on agreed targets, particularly on analytical procedures for gene and miRNA expression.
