Job Details
We are looking for an individual with substantial experience of developing academic staff within HE and of working with colleagues at all levels. The role holder will lead a professional and administrative team across a broad remit integrating all aspects of academic practice, namely research staff development, educational development and leadership development. You will be responsible for ensuring the strategic design, development, delivery and on-going leadership of this integrated academic development programme for all academic staff across the University.
The successful candidate will have an academic background and substantial credibility within the academic staff development field. You will have strong leadership skills and experience of leading a team of professionals as well as significant experience and expertise in research staff development and ideally, leadership development. You will also have the ability to quickly establish strong working relationships with colleagues, their team members and with staff at all levels across the organisation. The role is a key management position within the HR division and is also expected to contribute to the strategy and overall direction of the Division.
