Job Details

Full time

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual to support the editorial development of content for online learning courses to be delivered on a range of platforms, including FutureLearn and the University’s Blackboard Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).

In this role you will be a key member of the Digital Learning Service’s course design and content team. Under the guidance of a Course Design Manager, you will work with subject matter experts from across to the University to develop effective, innovative online learning content that is of the highest quality.

You will have the ability to evaluate materials for their suitability for the intended audience and apply their knowledge of pedagogy and instructional design to translate content from Subject Matter Experts into compelling online educational materials. You will have an eye for detail and excellent editorial skills, with experience of editing and managing educational content projects from first draft through to delivery.

You will be an experienced and confident user of Virtual Learning Environments or equivalent online learning platforms, and you will be able to work effectively with video producers, animators and learning technologists to create innovative learning experiences and content.

We are a fast-paced team who are constantly learning and growing. We’re looking for someone who is responsive to changing environments and who possesses excellent communication, organisation and people skills as well as a high degree of self-reliance.
