Job Details

Location: Bristol, UK

The Wellcome Trust GW4 Clinical Academic Training Programme is a collaboration between the Universities of Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter that will recruit and retain trainees from diverse disciplines, backgrounds and clinical specialties in medicine, dentistry and veterinary science. Trainees will receive exemplary doctoral and post-doctoral support (including mentorship and the opportunity to progress into linked Clinical Lectureships), and will be encouraged to explore cutting edge research opportunities in areas that have not been traditionally exploited by clinical doctoral trainees. The Programme Administrator will provide support to trainees across the Programme, as well as to the Programme Manager. The Programme Administrator will have developed excellent administrative support skills ideally in a HE setting, and will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the demands of a doctoral training programme. This is a part-time (0.5 FTE) post, and the post-holder will need to be able to work flexibly across the week to meet the requirements of the role. Some travel between Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter will be necessary.

Consideration will be given to the appointment of one person to cover the Programme Manager and Programme Administrator roles (1.0 FTE) depending on knowledge, skills and experience.

For informal enquires please contact Prof Jeremy Tavare: J.Tavare@bristol.ac.uk

The closing date for applications is midnight Tuesday 4 April 2017
