The Department of Organisation, Work and Employment (OWE) is actively involved in the delivery of UG modules in the fields of employment relations and organisational behaviour at the Birmingham Business School. The Departments provide one-year full-time postgraduate programmes leading to the MSc in Human Resource Management with the option of a CIPD qualification.
The post is open to research active scholars engage in the dissemination of knowledge via significant original research as well as seeking to be involved in the delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate and CIPD programmes, as appropriate to the disciplinary area. The post holder will contribute to the implementation of the School’s strategy through the development and delivery of a range of programmes of study within the fields of Human Resource Management and of Organisational Behaviour. The post holder will contribute to the research profile of the Department and of the Business School through research that complements existing strengths in the Department.

Person Specification

Applications are welcome from all areas of Human Resource Management and of Organisational Behaviour. Applicants should have a PhD relevant to the post. Applicants at the lecturer level should have evidence of the potential to conduct independent and original research of an international standard. Applicants at the senior lecturer level should already have published in leading research journals and have developed a record of successful teaching and learning experience; preferably at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Applicants should be able to demonstrate high level analytical capability, the ability to design and deliver module materials successfully, to assess and organise resources effectively and evidence of an ability to undertake related administration and contribute to broader management/administration processes.
