BI User Support Analyst

The University of Queensland is one of Australia's leading universities but is operating in an increasingly complex internal and external environment. Planning & Business Intelligence provides a key resource to the senior management of the University, providing data, analysis and insights to support strategic decision making. The Business Intelligence Unit is led by the Associate Director, Business Intelligence. This section is responsible for the business intelligence needs of the University. This includes the development and operation of a data warehouse, performance tools and related data reporting systems to enable the University community to access and analyse a wide range of data simply and efficiently.

The role

The primary purpose of the BI User Support Analyst is to apply a combination of business knowledge and specialist knowledge of BusinessObjects to develop reporting solutions and to provide expert advice and support to users. The position relies upon a good understanding of business processes and systems, in particular those relating to financial management, as well as an excellent understanding of the Data Warehouse, the Reportal and the functionality of BusinessObjects.

The person

The successful candidate should possess a bachelors degree with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Consideration will be given to candidates that can demonstrate strong user focus and knowledge of business processes and systems.

Remuneration

This is a full-time, continuing appointment at HEW Level 6/7. The remuneration package will be in the range $74,207.07 - $ 79,964.50 p.a. for HEW Level 6 or $ 81,883.65 - $ 89,559.15 for HEW Level 7 , plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $ 86,822.27 – $ 93,558.47 p.a. for HEW Level 6 or $ 95,803.87 - $ 104,784.21 p.a. for HEW Level 7).
