Maori Counsellor/Psychologist

The University Health and Counselling Service provides a range of medical, health and counselling services to all currently enrolled students. The medical and health services are low cost, comprehensive primary health care to support the health and wellbeing of students while studying.

We are seeking applications from qualified experienced Counsellors and Psychologists for a one year fixed term locum .8 vacancy at the University of Auckland Health & Counselling Service to provide assessment, counselling and referrals, with a particular focus to assist Maori students

The successful applicant will have extensive experience in one-to-one counselling, knowledge of Mental Health issues and skill in managing high risk situations. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated practitioner, skilled in working with young people, to join a positive and dynamic team, committed to supporting students in achieving their academic goals.
