Applications are invited for a Senior Research Associate/Research Associate position to carry out paleoclimate modelling of the Eocene time period, and associated work in the context of the TGRES project. The work will primarily involve running the UK Met Office climate model for past time periods, including a representation of oxygen isotopes and deuterium. Various aspects of the climate will be investigated, with a focus on the hydrological cycle.

The post is available to start as soon as 1st April 2017 and up to September 2017 with fixed funding until 31 December 2018.  Candidates will be expected to have demonstrated outstanding research potential.  For appointment at Grade J, candidates will have significant research achievements beyond a PhD.
