We currently have an exciting opportunity for an individual with excellent customer service skills to join our Student Services & Engagement team in the Faculty of Medical & Health Sciences at Tamaki Campus.

The position is responsible for a portfolio supporting students of the School of Population Health by providing advice and support to prospective students regarding admissions enquiries, degree planning and academic progress support for both undergraduate and postgraduate students within the School, as well as liaising with the Student Support & Engagement team to ensure students are supported throughout their studies.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Be the first point of contact for students at the Tamaki Campus
  • Provide advice and support to students to assist with recruitment, admissions, enrolment, academic progress and degree planning
  • Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills through relationship management, advocacy and negotiation
  • Work collaboratively toward continuous improvement

Key Skills and Experience Required:

  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in a customer-focused environment
  • An understanding of equity issues in New Zealand
  • Confidence in highly regulated environments
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
