Job Details
Job Purpose
To support the delivery of institutional processes and procedures in accordance with the Universitys status as a Home Office Tier 4 Sponsor to ensure compliance and in particular the provision of support for activities relating to Biometric Residents Permits throughout the year and to develop, implement and monitor processes to support the student experience and meet compliance obligations. To ensure appropriate facilitation of activities throughout the year and key events such as Welcome and BIA pre-sessional student arrivals and to support the visitor visa assessment process including monitoring applications from other visitors who may be subject to BRP provision. To support in the management and delivery of high quality services to international visitors and students, Colleges and Services with regard to supporting on going compliance activity under the Tier 4 Sponsor Licence.
Person Specification
- • To possess a degree or relevant professional qualification or equivalent extensive experience in a similar role.
- • Significant, demonstrable and up-to-date, working knowledge of UK Visas and Immigration policy affecting international students, relevant business visitors and educational institutions.
- • Demonstrable experience of meeting operational requirements, with excellent planning and organisational skills.
- • Project management experience.
- • Experience in the supervision and training of staff.
- • Excellent communication skills (written and oral), able to present information clearly and explain complex issues to a range of audiences with varying levels of understanding.
- • Excellent attention to detail.
- • Experience of working in a customer focused environment and delivering exceptional customer service.
- • Sound analytical, creative and pragmatic problem solving skills.
- • Demonstrate a high level of computer literacy, with knowledge and familiarity with MS Office packages including MS Excel.
- • The ability to represent the ISAS externally.
- • Demonstrates a commitment to enhancing the student experience, excellent customer service and to the Universitys values and behaviours.
- • A constructive team player demonstrating an ability to work collaboratively as part of a team or on own initiative
