Saint Louis University School of Medicine, a Catholic Jesuit institution dedicated to education, research, service and healthcare, has initiated a national search for the next Sylvia Souers Endowed Chair and Professor in the Department of Neurology.  The successful applicant will be a distinguished academic physician prepared to provide leadership in clinical, education and research development.  The ownership of Saint Louis University Hospital (SLUH) recently was transferred from Tenet to SSM Health - St. Louis, a Catholic system with 7 hospitals in the St. Louis region, including Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center, which shares our medical campus with SLUH.  The new chair will be expected to actively engage with SSM to develop a strong Neurology Program.  Minimum qualifications are board certification in neurology, a distinguished record of clinical excellence, research productivity and skill in managing an academic clinical practice in a managed care environment.  The department has 19 full-time faculty members, including generalists and subspecialists, fully accredited adult and child neurology residency programs and fellowship programs in clinical neurophysiology, cerebrovascular disorders, movement disorders, neurointervention, neurocritical care and sleep medicine.  All applications must be made on-line at: https://jobs.slu.edu Req ID F20150208 and must include a cover letter and curriculum vitae.  Letters of nomination including curriculum vitae are welcome and should be addressed to:
