Are you an academic or development practitioner with proven abilities to carry out teaching and research in WASH and related topics?  Do you have an excellent research record and proven success in obtaining funding? Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional student experience in a research-intensive Russell Group University?

As a Lecturer, you will carry out research, teaching and management within the school, faculty and university and to contribute to academic leadership in the field of Water, Sanitation and Health (WASH) Engineering with specific emphasis on the effective delivery of services in the global south.

The School of Civil Engineering is globally renowned for its teaching, research and engagement with industry and government. It is one of the largest and longest established Civil Engineering schools in the UK with just over 650 students from over 70 countries. With a vision and drive to develop a prestigious internationally competitive research portfolioas well as a passion for undertaking research-led teaching, you will make a significant impact on the performance, stature and profile of research and student education in the School in the field of WASH Engineering.

Talented, enthusiastic and motivated, you will either hold a PhD in engineering, engineering economics, public health or a related field and relevant field-based experience of research or implementation in the WASH field, or have a significant demonstrated track record of applied research of international standing in relevant subject areas. You will have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching at undergraduate and masters levels, along with experience of supervising architecture design projects.
