An exciting opportunity has emerged for an Accommodation Solutions Manager to join the team within the Campus Life division.

With significant numbers of school-leavers joining the University every year, along with international students at all levels, sourcing appropriate accommodation plays an integral part in the university’s strategic targets.

In this role you will lead the development of a successful, cohesive team focused on the delivery of a vibrant, engaging and supporting service. This position is part of the Accommodation leadership team and is responsible for meeting or exceeding strategic occupancy targets for University accommodation during the academic year. You will oversee the offers and contracts for students in Halls, Residences and visitor accommodation.  You will also oversee the accommodation advice services offered to all University students.  This role has responsibility for the delivery of the marketing and communications of student accommodation.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have proven leadership experience developing and mentoring a team.
  • Have highly developed written and verbal communication skills which will enable you to build excellent relationships with students of all ages and nationalities, key stakeholders and external parties.
  • Be able to implement change in a way that meets organisational needs and strategy.
  • Candidates with strong proficiency in the MS Suite of packages and the use of databases, combined with exposure to using social media and website tools will be strongly considered. 
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have worked within Property Management and/or Student Accommodation and can exercise their knowledge and expertise on New Zealand Tenancy Laws and regulatory standards.


This is a high visibility role which will see you representing Student Accommodation Solutions and as such, you will be an experienced and articulate presenter, who has the ability to engage with and relate to diverse student audiences.

You will be a proactive, energetic, solutions focused individual who can demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi task and work within a high volume environment.
