This new post offers an opportunity to work in a large, dynamic research group with an established reputation in medical statistics.  You will benefit from working with experts in the fields of epidemiology, biostatistics and cancer research.  Using novel state-of-the-art statistical techniques you will work on a research project to analyse comprehensive patient records (CPR) that assess the impact of cancer, co-morbidities and late effects on individuals and the health service.  You will publish in leading journals and be a key part of a large team of multidisciplinary researchers.

You will be familiar with a range of statistical software packages such as Stata or R and preferably have experience in statistical modelling of large data sets.  You will have attained a qualification (minimum first degree) preferably in mathematics or statistics.  An MSc or PhD in applied statistics or equivalent experience and an existing publication record in a relevant area are desirable.  Additional training, guidance and mentoring will be given appropriate to your experience and personal skills.
