Job Details
As a highly motivated, talented and committed post-doctoral scientist, you will work on the analysis of large datasets (>1 million people) to develop risk prediction models of treatment adverse events for people with chronic diseases.
Based in the Leeds Institute for Data Analytics, you will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary group of academics on the study of adverse events associated with glucocorticoids and the development of risk prognostic models to inform clinical practice and policy decision making. You will utilise linked longitudinal health records of populations with chronic inflammatory diseases (e.g. musculoskeletal diseases, vasculitis or asthma) to examine the relationship between medication (e.g. glucocorticoid dose) and the development of adverse events (e.g. adrenal suppression, diabetes or cardiovascular diseases).
With an MSc in Medical Statistics as well as a PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant subject area you will have a thorough knowledge of statistical principles and advanced statistical techniques.
