The School of Curriculum and Pedagogy is seeking a Lecturer in the area of E-learning or Digital Technologies in Teacher Education and/or Teacher Professional Learning.  This is a part-time (0.3 FTE, 12 hrs/week), permanent opportunity from April 2017 (or as negotiated).

The successful candidate will have:

  • A doctorate  in E-learning or Digital Technologies in Teacher Education and/or Teacher Professional Learning
  • Experience in teaching successfully on a range of undergraduate and / or postgraduate courses
  • Experience in working effectively with student teachers, teachers and teaching practice communities
  • Experience in attracting and successfully supervising OR the potential to attract and supervise masters and doctoral students
  • Evidence of a research platform and related quality-assured publishing commensurate with career level expectations
  • Demonstrated the ability to create strong and effective working relationships with students, colleagues, and a range of stakeholders
  • A commitment to equity


Ideally the successful applicant will also have:

  • Experience teaching in primary and/or secondary schools and/or lecturing or tutoring
  • Experience with / knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum
  • Experience of teaching English through curriculum/content
  • Hold a teaching qualification and teacher registration in New Zealand, or be eligible for registration in New Zealand
