Massachusetts General Hospital, a major Boston teaching hospital and teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School, seeks a Laboratory Investigator for the Center for Transplantation Sciences (CTS) at Massachusetts General Hospital. Academic rank as Assistant or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with achievements, training, and experience.

The successful candidate must have expertise in transplantation biology, with specific interest in xenotransplantation, transplanted organ rejection mechanisms, and the impact of immunomodulatory therapies. S/he must have an MD and/or PhD and a proven track record of productive laboratory research and effective teaching ability.  S/he must be surgically trained and have experience with successfully performing surgery in large animal transplant models, and demonstrated ability to lead a translational transplant surgery research team.

The successful candidate will engage in teaching students and fellows in the laboratory setting. The successful candidate will have qualifications to mentor or a demonstrated track record of supervising successful doctoral candidates, and a track record of participation in or leadership of a translational transplant surgery research team.
