The Pharmacology department is seeking scientists to join the Chemical Biology group who have experience in biochemistry and biochemical assay development, biophysical methods and/or protein engineering. Candidates familiar with any of the following techniques will be given priority: fluorescence based assays, radio-ligand receptor binding, enzymatic assays, surface plasmon resonance, calorimetry, co-immunoprecipitation, protein fragment complementation, yeast two hybrid, mammalian expression, insect expression and incorporation of unnatural amino acids.
Qualifications
Education:
- A Ph. D. in Biology, Biochemistry or related field or a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry or related field with at least 5 years of industrial experience
Required:
- 3 years relevant experience, biochemistry, Assay development
- Willing and able to design biochemical, biophysical and/or cell-based experiments to characterize the molecular mode of action of tool molecules.
Preferred:
- Protein engineering experience
