Job Details
At UNSW Arts & Social Sciences we explore big ideas, create new knowledge, and tackle critical social issues. Our Faculty is positioned as one of Australia's top three research Faculties in Humanities, Social Sciences and Creative and Performing Arts and we are recognised for our interdisciplinary research with real social impact and community engagement. Within the Faculty, the School of the Arts and Media offers a broad range of discipline areas allowing students to draw together exciting links across the specialisations and engage in creative and practice-based research. The School also includes two sub-units: the Creative Practice Lab and the Centre for Modernism Studies in Australia.
The School of the Arts and Media is currently searching for a Professor of Public Relations and Advertising to strengthen their research and teaching within the discipline and to nurture their engagement with the creative industries. You should bring a world-class research track record with a demonstrated ability to generate research income from traditional and industry sources. You should bring experience of impactful and innovative teaching methods engaging students at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level. In addition, you should have experience in leading and mentoring staff within their discipline area and will be expected to further develop collaborations across the School, Faculty and the wider University. Willingness to network and engage with industry and manage these external partnerships on behalf of the University will also be expected of you.
