Alumni Relations and Development

Love engaging with people and building communities?

Enjoy working with people and encouraging participation?

Our standing as New Zealand's leading tertiary institution is the result of our people, both present and past. An exciting opportunity has emerged in our Alumni Relations and Development team, responsible for engaging with the University's ever growing alumni and friends communities.

Reporting to the Alumni Relations Manager, you'll help to implement and administer our alumni programme which focuses on current students, right through to distinguished alumni. You'll be responsible for encouraging and enhancing alumni support and participation and for engaging students as future alumni. This varied role will see you planning and implementing a wide variety of engagement opportunities for our alumni, based in New Zealand and overseas while building relationships with internal stakeholders.  Alumni support will be delivered through a variety of means including supporting alumni volunteers, events, benefits and services and effective communications including social media.

To be successful in this position, you’ll ideally have experience in a similar role, working with communities and building engagement through delivering a range of benefits and services as well as events.  You’ll be adept at creating and writing effective communications across all channels and may have honed your skills by working within a Public Relations or marketing communications environment.  Success will be further defined by your account management skills and ability to deliver on projects and timelines. Your strong written communication skills and exceptional time management, planning and organisational skills will be essential to your success. This is a small team and will require you to be a self-starter, a team player and have a flexible and proactive approach.

To work with Alumni Relations and Development, and build your career with the University of Auckland, please apply online and be discovered.
