Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our FACS Core Facility as a Technical Associate. The core facility is equipped with a Canto II, a LSR Fortessa and an Aria III sorter. The applicant will assist in providing a smooth and reliable cell sorting and analysis service to researchers. This will involve maintenance including QC and operation of machinery, training and advising facility users.
The candidate should hold a bachelor degree or higher in biology or a technical field with 2+ years of experience or a technician with according experience. Previous experience with flow cytometry and cell sorting is advantageous. The successful candidate should have good verbal and written communication skills in English, an independent work style and should also be highly organized and detail-oriented.

Part-time position (50-60%), starting on 1st of July or upon agreement. The position is initially for 2 years with the possibility of extension. Salary and benefits according to University of Basel standards.
