Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge?  Do you have a background in in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) physics or a related discipline? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research intensive Universities?

With a strong background in MRI sequence optimisation and processing of functional MRI data in clinical/preclinical or phantom studies, you will support the major international EU-funded research project Translational Imaging Methods in Drug Safety Assessment (TRISTAN). You will also have experience in computer programming using either matlab, Python, or IDL.

Your role in this project will be: to develop an image analysis- and acquisition protocol to characterise hepatocellular transporter function using Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced MRI with a liver-specific contrast agent; demonstrate reproducibility in multi-centre multi-vendor preclinical and clinical studies; support preclinical and clinical follow-up studies and work with a software engineer to integrate these tools into a platform for wider distribution.
