Biopharma - Business Development Director - Senior Role
NonStop are working with a leading Biopharma in protein production. A leading centre of research and development in Human-Cell expression methods, the firm has a number of exciting collaborations in progress with pharmaceutical companies, particularly within oncology protein therapeutics. Their Cell Line and Expression Platform technologies play a key role in pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical development today, and with significant investment at work in 2017, they will continue to expand their presence across Europe and the USA.
As part of this expansion, the firm are investing heavily in the Business Development function. A team of 2 covers Europe at the moment, but to make space for future growth in Account Management and Business Development, they are looking to build the structure for a large team now. The Business Development Director will support the Chief Business Officer and play a key role in developing new business partnerships, both on-the-day and in long-term collaboration.
You will also use your strategic expertise in the biotech market to position collaborations in accordance with IP strategy, with an eye on long-term returns as well as new business. A background in biopharmaceutical manufacturing or development will be a major advantage in the role overall, and will also help you devise commercial strategy for license preparation and negotiation.
