An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join the University Change Management Team. We are a small team that is still developing and evolving to become a centre of excellence in leading and managing change throughout the organisation.

The Change Manager offers practical support, guidance and consultancy to those delivering significant change and transformation. Focusing on the people side of change – including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organisation structures, this role provides input to the Change Lead in the development of change management strategies and plans that maximise employee adoption and usage and minimise resistance to change.

The Change Manager will apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities, assess the change impact, complete change readiness assessments, analyses stakeholders and where appropriate plan and execute communications. The Change Manager will most likely support several initiatives concurrently and provide direct support and coaching to front-line managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions. This person will also support project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans.

Desired Skills and Experience:

The Change Manager will have demonstrable experience of leading and managing significant organisational change. A project or programme management qualification would be of benefit, but not essential as long as the candidate has a good working knowledge of the tools and techniques of project/programme management.

Excellent written and verbal presentation skills are essential as is confidence in delivering complex information to people at all levels of the organisation. An engaging style and strong listening skills are central to the role.

Candidates must be comfortable working with uncertainty, ambiguity and a fast moving environment, willing and able to work on their own initiative with minimum supervision.
