Job Details
Job Purpose
To develop a new type of solid oxide fuel cell that can operate below 350c. The applicant will prepare and characterise a range of electrode and electrolyte materials in order to examine their suitability for operation in a low temperature solid oxide fuel cell.
Person Specification
- First degree in Chemistry and a PhD in Solid State Chemistry are essential
- Experience in Solid State Chemistry Synthesis techniques, X-ray powder diffraction, Rietveld refinement are essential
- Experience in the characterisation of battery or fuel cell/electrolyser materials is essential
- Experience of research into the synthesis and characterisation of new inorganic solid state materials is essential
